Dano plays Hank, a man stranded on a desert island who is attempting suicide when he sees a corpse wash ashore portrayed by Radcliffe. He develops a type of friendship with the dead body and discovers that he can manipulate the cadaver like a multi-purpose tool and ends up reanimating him from the dead. The conversations between the two men reveal Hank’s insecurities and through deliberately ambiguous storytelling, it is not clear if Hank has simply fantasized these interactions but resolves to take charge of his life when he gets back to society.
